Remembrance Day Service

This year’s parade is starting from the Lower Green Recreation Ground car park at 10:15am and the Choir of Kent College will be singing specially selected songs by the War Memorial from 10:15am until the start of the service.

The service is due to start at the War Memorial in Hastings Road at 10:30am.  Please note that the service will be held outside this year. All welcome to attend.

The newly refurbished war memorial plaques, with new names and corrected spellings, will be unveiled and dedicated at the beginning of the Service of Remembrance by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Kent, Lord Colgrain.

Road closures will be in place from 10am along Lower Green Road from the Recreation Ground to the High Street until the end of the parade at 10:30am.  Hastings Road will also be closed by the War Memorial from 10am to 11:45am.

We are also planning a Poppy Drop from a 1930s Tiger Moth plane (weather permitting) over the centre of Pembury.

  1. Hi, i wondered if a couple of us in horses would be able to follow the parade up to the memorial. We were coming to the silence and service. Might be nice to follow you with the road closed.
