Fireworks Display 2023

Pembury Village Fireworks Display Lights Up the Night on 3rd November

The Pembury Village Fireworks Display is back and better than ever! Join us on Friday 3rd November at the Lower Green Recreation Ground for an evening of dazzling pyrotechnics and entertainment. Gates open at 6.30pm, with the main fireworks display set to begin at 7:30pm, synchronized to the sensational music from “The Greatest Showman.”

In the past, this event has been a well-loved tradition, funded by the Parish Council and donations from attendees. The event has grown in popularity across the wider area in the last few years, with many attendees from outside the village. With the cost of the event rising significantly, the Parish Council felt it could no longer be subsidised by Pembury residents alone. However, this year, to ensure greater fairness and to guarantee the sustainability of this cherished community event as well as supporting other vital initiatives within our village, there will be an admission fee of £5 per ticket. Children 16 and under will be admitted free of charge, as it’s a family-friendly affair.

New to this year’s festivities are a variety of delicious food stalls including hot dogs, pizza, and fresh donuts. For those looking to warm up on a chilly November evening, a bar will be on-site serving a selection of beers and hot toddies to keep you toasty.

“We’re excited to bring back the Pembury Village Fireworks Display, and this year, we’ve added even more elements to make it a memorable experience for everyone,” said Councillor Astra Birch at Pembury Parish Council. “By introducing a small ticket fee, we aim to ensure the sustainability of this event and continue to invest in the betterment of our community. We hope to see families, friends, and neighbours come together to enjoy a fantastic evening.”

Don’t miss out on the Pembury Village Fireworks Display on Friday 3rd November. Although it will be possible to purchase tickets on the night with either cash or card, to make things run as smoothly as possible, we would urge residents to purchase tickets in advance and either download these to your phone or print off to bring with you on the night.
