Second Lockdown

Following the Government’s announcement on Saturday 31 October 2020,  England will be entering their second lockdown with effect from Thursday 5 November.  We are still waiting for guidance on various matters.  However, we can confirm the following:

  • Grounds staff will continue to work in the Parish as normal undertaking various tasks including litter picking, inspections and maintenance
  • Playgrounds will remain open
  • Fireworks Display for 2020 has been cancelled
  • Remembrance Day is very different to normal and only a limited number of invited guests will lay wreaths at the War Memorial,  Members of the public are encouraged to remember at home
  • Burials can continue but attendance at funerals is currently limited
  • Allotments remain open for all tenants.  The gates will be unlocked to reduce the risk of transmission of Covid-19 via the padlock

Full guidance on current lockdown restrictions can be found on .gov.uk.
